Itinerary

Day 1
ARRIVAL IN DELHI

Upon arrival, you will be received by our correspondent. Transfer and installation at your hotel.
Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2
DELHI - SHEKHAWATI (250km / 4h drive)

After morning breakfast, leave for Shekhawati.
Shekhawati is crisscrossed by roads leading to unvisited villages and havelis (traditional houses richly decorated with frescoes of painting, some Havelis are open to the public with their original paintings, and today some Havelis are inhabited by guards and others are transformed into charming hotels. Before arriving at Shekhawati you visit the famous temple of Rani Sati.

Day 3
SHEKHAWATI - JAIPUR (165 KM / 4h)

After breakfast, visit Havelis of this beautiful region of Shekhawati before heading to Jaipur.
Jaipur, the Rose City, is the state capital of Rajasthan. On arrival, visit the Palace of the Winds built in 1799, and located in the city center. (Discovery of this beautiful facade with windows reserved formerly only for the women of royal families to observe the spectacle of the street and the processions). Walking in the bustle of the old town.
Free time to do some shopping (the city is famous for its silk, jewelry and carpets etc).
Arrival and installation at the hotel/Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 4
JAIPUR

The morning is dedicated for the visit of the Fort Amber, rise of the fort be on the back of elephant or in jeep (according to the availability of the elephants). Afternoon: visit City Palace and the astronomical observatory created by Jai Singh in the 17th century, a great enthusiast of astrology. After the visits, you are free to walk in the narrow streets.
Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 5
JAIPUR - KARAULI (160 KM / 4H00)

Departure towards Karauli, after your breakfast. Upon arrival check in at the hotel.
Afternoon dedicated to the visit of the Palace, built in the 14th century. The fort and the palace were the official residences of the royal family until 1938.
In the evening, the Aarti (prayer) at the temple, a walk in the local bazaar/Night in Karauli.

Day 6
KARAULI - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA (138 KM / 3h)

Depart for Agra. Stop at Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri is the ancient and astonishing capital built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1571. . Today, at the foot of the city, there remains only a modest village. The imperial city contains a great variety of palaces, colonnade buildings, pavilions, courtyards and basins, mosques, caravanserais.
Continue to Agra. Installation at the hotel Overnight in Agra.

Day 7
AGRA

TAJ MAHAL
The Taj Mahal, mausoleum built in white marble and semi precious stones. Emperor Shah Jahan had the Taj Mahal built in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in order to immortalize his love for him.
The word Taj Mahal means “Palace of the Crown”. For its construction 20,000 people had worked on the site day and night. The Taj Mahal is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Since its construction The Taj Mahal is considered a jewel of Mughal architecture. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The Red Agra Fort
The Red Fort of Agra is a powerful fortress built in 1565 by Emperor Akbar (1556-1605) on the right bank of the Yamuna. Since 1983, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The architecture is Hindu style, the Mughal style was added later in the reign of Shah Jahan. Emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son
Aurangzeb in Agra Fort, from where he could see the Taj Mahal before leaving this world, The citadel contains a large number of fairy palaces that are worth visiting.

Day 8
AGRA - DELHI (By motorway)

DELHI / AMRITSAR (6 hours by train Shatabdi Express).
Delhi direction by highway.
Transfer to the train station to take the Shatabdi Express train to Amritsar. On arrival transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 9
AMRITSAR

At the end of the afternoon, ceremony of the changing of the guards on the IndoPakistan border
Night stay in Amritsar.

Day 10
AMRITSAR - DELHI (NATIONAL FLIGHT)

End of morning national flight (Amritsar / Delhi).
Reception in Delhi by our driver.
In the evening transfer to the airport according to your schedule of the return flight (Delhi / France).
End of our service.
