Itinerary

Day 1
ARRIVAL IN DELHI

Upon arrival, you will be received by our correspondent.
Transfer and installation to your hotel.
Night stay in Delhi.

Day 2
DELHI - SEKHAWATI (250km / 4h drive)-

After morning breakfast, leave for Shekhawati.

Shekhawati is crisscrossed by roads leading to unvisited villages and havelis (traditional houses richly decorated with frescoes of painting, some Havelis are open to the public with their original paintings, and today some Havelis are inhabited by guards and others are transformed into boutique hotels,

Before arriving at Shekhawati you will visit the famous Rani Sati Temple (weather permitting).

Upon arrival check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Shekhawati.

Day 3
SHEKHAWATI - BIKANER (190km / 3h drive)

In the morning, after breakfast, visit Havelis of this beautiful region of Shekhawati before heading to Bikaner. Formerly the city of Bikaner was an important stage on the main caravan routes; it was built in 1488 by King Rao Bika.

In the afternoon, you will go to Deshnok for a visit to KARNI MATA TEMPLE (temple of sacred rats, worshiped by pilgrims). On the way back to the city center to discover some beautiful Havelis abandoned by rich Indian traders, and the bustling souk.

In the evening return to the hotel.
Overnight in Bikaner.

Day 4
BIKANER - JAISALMER (330km / 5h drive)

In the morning, before leaving for Jaisalmer, the most beautiful city of the state of Rajasthan, you will visit the fort of Bikaner called JUNAGHAR FORT. After the visit, have lunch near the fort. Road to Jaisalmer, installation at the hotel. A short walk could be realized to discover the center of this city.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5
JAISALMER

After breakfast, this day begins with the visit of the old city intramural, its famous Jain temple. Then the lower town with its famous Havelis (located on the Silk Road) rich traders.
Lunch in downtown Jaisalmer.
In the afternoon, ride in the desert by camel.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 6
JAISALMER -JODHPUR (280km / 4h drive)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur the blue city. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. The afternoon is devoted to the visit of Fort Mehrangarh, then an evening walk to explore the area of the clock with its stores especially teas and spices, (depending on the timing).

Day 7
JODHPUR - UDAIPUR (260km / 5h drive)-

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur.

The city was founded in 1559 by the Rânâ Udai Singh II. It is surrounded by Lakes Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar. It is also surrounded by lush hills called Aravalis. By its romanticism, this city once was a source of inspiration for poets, painters and writers and continues to be the same. A must visit place.

Upon arrival check in at the hotel.
Night stay at the hotel.

Day 8
UDAIPUR

Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple with its district, and Saheliyon ki Bari. Late afternoon or evening enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola.
In the evening visit miniature workshops and traditional artifacts.
Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 9
UDAIPUR – BHARATPUR (377 KM/7 hrs)-

After breakfast, leave for Bharatpur. After check in relax, visit the famous Bharatpur museum and wildlife sanctuary where you can see thousands of species of creatures. Enjoy your evening and overnight stay at Bharatpur.

Day 10
BHARATPUR-PUSHKAR (336km/6hrs)-

In the morning, after breakfast, you will leave Bharatpur to take the direction of Pushkar.
The city of Pushkar is built around a sacred lake called Pushkar Lake. High place of pilgrimage for Hindus, Pushkar houses the temple dedicated to Brahma.
Upon your arrival installation in very comfortable tents near the city. Discovery of the camel ride.
Dinner and overnight in Pushkar.

Day 11
PUSHKAR-

Start your day with Sunrise at Savitri Mata Temple (you can reach here by cable car). Explore other beautiful temples as they get closed by noon. In evening enjoy heavy rajasthani food along with some traditional shopping. In evening visit the Holy Ghats and perform prayers. After this, there are many activities like horse riding; camel cart and some great performances by some renowned Rajasthani artists.
At night enjoy traditional folk dances and music along with great dinner in the dunes.

Day 12
PUSHKAR-JAIPUR (135km / 3h)-

Drive to Jaipur, the Pink City, for lunch. This city is also the capital of the state of Rajasthan. Visit the Palace of the Winds built in 1799 and located in the city center, to discover its beautiful facade whose windows were once reserved only for women of royal families. Free evening for shopping (silks, jewels and carpets etc).
Dinner and overnight at the Jaipur Hotel.

Day 13
EXPLORE JAIPUR

The morning is spent visiting the Amber Fort. Ascent to the fort by either elephant riding or jeep depending on the availability of elephants. Lunch in the city center. In afternoon visit the astronomical observatory created in the seventeenth century by Jai Singh II, a great enthusiast of astrology. In the evening visit the Birla or Galtha temple according to the timing.
Back to the hotel and dinner.
Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 14
JAIPUR-BHARATPUR (180km / 4h)-

The city of Bharatpur is well known for its park called Keoladeo Ghana Nation Park. It is a superb ornithological reserve, registered with the World Heritage of Humanity. This park is one of the world’s most important bird watching sites with some 364 bird species listed. Upon arrival, check in and have lunch at the hotel.
Visit a village to see the daily life of the villagers.
Dinner and overnight in Bharatpur.

Day 15
BHARATPUR-AGRA (55km / 1h)-

Wake up early in the morning to visit the Bird Park 8 km from the hotel. Return to the hotel for breakfast and depart for Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri is the ancient and astonishing capital built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1571
Lunch on the way and dinner at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 16
AGRA-DELHI (210km / 4h)-

This morning visit of Taj Mahal: completed in 1648, this bright white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal, is undoubtedly the most famous monument of India. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Red Fort: This fort, whose massive high walls of pink sandstone dominate the Yamuna, contains palaces, real jewels of white marble and red sandstone chiseled and inlaid with colored stones.
After visiting these two monuments, lunch and depart for Delhi.
After your dinner in Delhi, transfer to the airport for the flight of your return.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT RAJASTHAN?

The best time to visit Rajasthan is from October to March. However, if one is looking for best value for money then April, July and August are also not bad months as one can stay at Palace hotels without spending a fortune during those months.

I HAVE HEARD A LOT OF ABOUT PALACE AND HERITAGE HOTELS. IS IT TOO EXPENSIVE?

Palace hotels are definitely expensive, but we can offer you special discounted rates for these hotels and during off season (from April to September) the rates are even cheaper. Heritage hotels that are small palaces are easily affordable.

DO I NEED AN INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE OF VACCINATION?

Yes, yellow fever vaccinations would be required if you are coming from infected or endemic areas.

DO I NEED MEDICAL/TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Yes. It is advisable to take both to cover theft, loss, or illness.

IS THERE A FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX?

Yes Rs. 500 has to be paid at the airport as Foreign Travel Tax.

WHAT ARE THE WORKING HOURS OF BANKS AND POST OFFICES?

Opening hours from all banks are 10 am to 2 pm on weekdays. Till noon on Saturday. All banks are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

IS IT NOT BETTER TO USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT THAN HIRING A CAR FROM YOU?

Public transport is certainly cheaper and gives you a unique experience to mingle with local population but at the same time it is quite hectic. You have to follow their schedule. You lose precious time and it does not allow you to stop on the way wherever you feel like. Then you have to hire taxi from transfer from bus / railway station and for city town. If you take all that into consideration then you may find renting a car is not an expensive option.
